House Rules & Policies

How the chalet works.

Everything you need to know before you arrive — and nothing you don't. We're glad you're here.

01

Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. When you leave, please leave the beds unmade so our team knows which linens to change. Before heading out, turn off all A/C units and log out of any streaming services on the TV.

02

The Property

This is a private home — no smoking, no parties, and overnight guests must match your booking count. The property sits at the edge of the forest, so please keep all doors fully closed at all times to keep wildlife out. Open flames including candles and incense are not permitted anywhere on the property.

03

Septic & Plumbing

We have a sensitive septic system, so please treat it with care. Do not pour oil, grease, or coffee grounds down any drain — dispose of them in the trash. Toilet paper goes in the lid-closed trash cans provided in each bathroom, not in the toilet. No wipes, feminine products, or paper towels in the toilets either.

04

Trash & Recycling

Vermont state law requires recycling separation. You'll find three labeled bins in the garage for plastics & glass, cardboard & paper, and general waste. Please bag your trash and bring everything to the garage before checkout.

05

Pets

Cats and dogs are welcome — up to two pets per stay, at $150 per pet. Please let us know before booking. Pets must be house-trained; we can't accommodate animals that aren't.

06

Cancellation

Direct bookings: full refund if cancelled at least 14 days before check-in; partial refund between 7 and 14 days out. We also offer a 10% discount on non-refundable reservations — once booked, those are final regardless of timing. Platform bookings follow their respective policies. Travel insurance is worth considering, especially for ski season stays.

07

Damage Deposit

A $750 damage deposit is charged at booking and fully refunded within 48 hours of departure.

08

Hot Tub

Shower before entering and please wear proper swimwear — no T-shirts or casual clothing in the tub. Keep glassware, food, and personal items out of the water, and no pets in the hot tub area. Replace the cover when you're done to keep the heat in. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

09

Pool

The pool is for your enjoyment but is unsupervised — please swim responsibly. No swimming after 9:00 PM, no diving, and no glassware on the deck. A quick rinse before entering helps keep the water clean. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
